Worker flow

  1. Sign in on the app or the portal

Use the same account on iPhone, on the upcoming Android build, or on the worker web portal.

  2. Complete your profile

Add your city, roles, skills, languages, and certifications, then submit the profile for review.

  3. Set your availability

Mark the days you're available and submit time-off requests to avoid offers that don't fit.

  4. Find or receive a shift

Apply to shifts that match you, or accept and decline direct invites from the employer.

  5. Confirm and work

Check the location and instructions, clock in, and release the shift with a reason when you can't make it.

  6. Submit your hours

Record clock-out, break, and a note, then send the timecard for the manager's decision.

  7. Follow everything

See messages, ratings, and approved earnings. In the app, the last schedule you opened stays available offline.

If something goes off track

Recover without duplicating actions.

  • Session expired: Sign in again with the same account you use in the Shift Central app.
  • Shift not showing: Check city, role, approved profile, eligibility, and whether you already have an active application.
  • No internet: Check the last saved schedule; applications, the timeclock, and other write actions need a connection.
  • Version conflict: Refresh the page before responding again to an application or an invite.
  • Demo: The Demo banner confirms that no action was sent to a real business.
